My past and future

My past

My experience in the hospitality industry began about seven years ago, when I had a part-time job at a snack bar. That’s where I learned the basics: working hard, keeping up a fast pace, and dealing with different types of guests.

After that, I moved on to a restaurant, where I gained more and more experience in both front-of-house and the kitchen. Through internships during school, I further developed my skills and gained a better understanding of both sides of the profession.

Over the years, I’ve taken on more and more responsibility and also started handling managerial tasks. As a result, I’ve grown into a managerial role within a restaurant’s front-of-house team.

I really gave myself the time to grow in the hospitality industry. Step by step, I learned what it takes to perform well on the job and how important teamwork, oversight, and communication are. All these experiences have brought me to where I am today.

My Leadership style

I see myself as a leader who leads by example. I believe it’s important to be visible on the work floor and to support colleagues when needed. Through my positive and energetic attitude, I strive to create a good atmosphere within the team.

I also believe in open communication. I listen to colleagues, contribute ideas for solutions, and ensure that expectations are clear. During busy times, I stay calm and maintain an overview so that the team can focus on delivering the best service.

In the future, I want to further develop myself as a leader, particularly in the areas of coaching, decision-making, and managing larger teams. My goal is not only to achieve good results but also to bring out the best in people.

My future

In the future, I want to continue developing my skills in the hospitality industry and, above all, grow in the direction of leadership and management. I’d love to eventually advance to a managerial role in a restaurant or hotel, where I’d be responsible for the team and day-to-day operations.

For me, the focus is really on the managerial side of the job. I want to get better at leading people, maintaining an overview, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly on the work floor. That’s something I’m already working on and want to develop further.

Starting my own business doesn’t appeal to me as much right now. I think it’s important to maintain a good work-life balance, and as an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, you’re often constantly busy and dependent on fluctuating income. That’s why I’d rather choose a role within a company where I can advance and continue to develop myself.

What motivates me most is that I can continue working with people in the hospitality industry, in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. I want to keep learning, gaining experience, and gradually progressing toward a role with more responsibility and influence within the team.
